One player that Dallas could have added to their defense apparently isn’t going anywhere.
The Dallas Cowboys like to say talent acquisition is a year-round business. But the truth is they’re running out of chances to land difference-makers to the team. And the latest report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport confirms a potential target is now off the table.

Much of Washington’s post-draft talk has centered around finding a legitimate receiving option to pair opposite Terry McLaurin in David Blough’s new offense. There has been significant chatter about adding Brandon Aiyuk once he’s released from the death-grip John Lynch currently has on him. Although Aiyuk remains a realistic option, the pettiness to which San Francisco’s front office is operating may not allow him to become a part of the team until after September 1st, when he has a nearly $25 million roster bonus due.
Stefon Diggs is another name who has been linked to Washington. The 32-year-old Gaithersburg, MD...

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt peeled back the curtain on some of the differences between Mike McCarthy and Mike Tomlin.
“It’s been a lot. Yeah, I’m not gonna lie to you. It’s been a lot of studying, a lot of learning a lot on the iPad,” Watt said at minicamp on Wednesday. “Also trying to see new faces, not only players and coaches. There’s been a lot of good work.
“As you guys can see, things are a little bit different around here. It’s tougher as you get older to get to work in, but it’s...
Will Campbell was not himself down the stretch last season.
After suffering a tear in his MCL that cost him four regular-season games, Campbell returned for the Patriots’ regular-season finale and playoff run. The rookie struggled upon his return, as executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf later noted that three of Campbell’s four worst games came during the postseason.
Wolf also acknowledged the struggles were largely due to Campbell losing lower-body strength because of the injury. This offseason, regaining that strength was at the top of Campbell’s to-do list.
“Getting back healthy, I did [physical therapy] five days...

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Brian Parker II with pick 189 overall in the sixth round.
For me personally, I was pretty shocked Parker was still available. I had Parker rated as my 74th overall player in the draft. I loved the fact that he has played left and right tackle in college, while being expected to naturally kick inside to guard or center at the next level.
A player on the offensive line with five position flexibility is usually highly coveted around the league. I am sure the Bengals were more than happy to bring the St. Xavier alumnus back...

Although the draft happened over a month ago, there could be one more quarterback prospect to find a home before the 2026 season begins. Brendan Sorsby, widely thought of as a top candidate in the 2027 draft class, could be forced to enter the supplemental draft if he’s unable to regain his collegiate eligibility for […]

Court grants Rashee Rice request for knee therapy while serving jail sentence in Texas | KMBC
Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been granted permission to receive knee therapy while serving a jail sentence in Texas related to a high-speed crash case.
According to a May 28 court order from Dallas County, Rice’s attorneys requested that the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department transport him to Parkland Hospital for treatment on his knee and move him from an isolated cell into the jail’s general population.
Prosecutors did not oppose either request, and the judge...

Fresh off a new contract extension, Darnell Washington continues to eye a bigger receiving role in the Steelers’ offense. Having taken small steps each of his past three seasons, he is seeing encouraging signs under the new coaching staff. And given the new contract they just gave him, there may actually be something behind that. […]

“They’re all improving. None of them are practicing,” Campbell said ahead of the third OTA practice for the team. “It’s the best I can tell you.”
At this point, there is no clear timeline for any of those players’ returns to the field, but this week we did get some visual progress for Branch.
The Lions’ Pro Bowl safety suffered a torn Achilles in early December, and it’s basically been radio silence since. However,...
