Who was the greatest draft pick in Broncos history?
Mile High Report Mile High Report

We ask the Mile High Report staff who the greatest NFL Draft pick by the Denver Broncos was.

We keep our roundtable series going on this NFL Draft Eve Wednesday with a question for both the Mile High Report staff and Broncos Country too: who was the greatest draft pick in team history?

Joe Mahoney

Terrell Davis - no Bronco draftee dominated the league for as long he did.

Tim Lynch

Terrell Davis. I agree. Without TD, that dynasty becomes a good playoff team that comes up short. You add TD to that offense and it became the most dominant force in the NFL over a three year span. His playoff runs remain the greatest and most dominant playoff runs in history. Seven-straight 100 yard games and a Super Bowl MVP is going to be a tough record to break over a similar span. I’d like to give a shoutout to Von Miller, Shannon Sharpe, Steve Atwater, and Randy Gradishar too. All of those guys were franchise-changing draft picks in hindsight.

Adam Malnati

Chris Hinton. Why not give a little love to the guy the Broncos drafted in 1983, and then traded to the Colts (along with some other stuff) to get John Elway.

Ian St. Clair

It’s a tie for me, Chris Hinton and Terrell Davis. Both picks turned into two of the best players in franchise and league history.

All in all, those of us who participated fell into one of two camps. The “It got us John Elway” camp and the “It got us that first Super Bowl championship camp”. Both camps are winners if you ask me.
