In what should be a surprise to no one, Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his walk-off field goal for a huge win over the Chiefs on Sunday.
It was a win that made Aqib Talib say, “Sh*t just got real for the AFC West.”
After the game when head coach Sean Payton was asked about Lutz, a guy he brought to Denver two years ago after being his coach in New Orleans, was not surprised in the least by Lutz’s veins of ic.
“Five-for-five. He had a great night....

The Bronco offensive line had a big challenge on Sunday. The Chiefs boast a strong defensive front, with strong pass rushers, and Chris Jones is a tough guy to handle in the interior. This was also another test to see if Alex Palczewski can perform against an All-Pro. The guys up front did their job well, and Palczewski more than held his own throughout the majority of the game.
This week we’ll focus on the third year man out of Illinois who made his fifth start this year in replacement of Ben Powers. And I wanted to look through the...

As ESPN reporter Sergio Dipp once said, Vance Joseph is having the time of his life!
Vance Joseph is the mastermind behind the Denver Broncos’ defense that is once again leading the NFL in sacks, proving to be an elite unit in the NFL, and a big reason why the Broncos are 9-2, leading the AFC West, and are currently the number one seed in the AFC. He has become a beloved coach in Broncos Country, but it hasn’t always been that way.
Honestly, Vance Joseph is having a Hollywood-like redemption arc with the Broncos.
Let us go back to...

With J.K. Dobbins out for the season, the Broncos’ offense has taken a step back in running production. The Broncos’ running back room currently is as follows:
R.J. Harvey 5’8″ 205lbs
Jaleel McLaughlin 5’7″ 187lbs
Tyler Badie 5’8″ 197lbs
The room is a little light. Each of these guys tends to go down on first contact more often than not on inside runs.
In the middle of the season, these boys aren’t going to size up during a bye week, so they are who they are.
Against the Chiefs, it was rough sledding with a grand total of 2.8 yards...

The Denver Broncos control their AFC West destiny after their 22-19 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. According to ESPN, their division chances jumped to 77% after that win with a 97% chance of making the playoffs.
Defense wins championships … or at least the AFC West. The Broncos‘ defense held it down to defeat the Chiefs on Sunday night, and Denver has held opposing quarterbacks to a 46.8 QBR, the lowest in the league. That was apparent as Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes posted a 56.4 QBR, significantly lower than his season average of 72.8. Bo Nix...

The inactives for this Denver Broncos win over the Kansas City Chiefs were Pat Surtain, Nate Adkins, Alex Singleton, Jonah Elliss, Geron Christian, Jordan Jackson, and Sai’vion Jones.
The entire starting OL and Bo Nix played every offensive snap. Frank Crum played two snaps as the 6th OL. He also played on kicking and kick block snaps – one of which we will remember for a long time.
Courtland Sutton played 57 of 62 snaps at WR which was a huge snap load. Franklin played 41 and Bryant played 35. Mims only got 15 and LJH got 9 in his...

The Denver Broncos are finally bringing through doubters around after an impressive win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The offense was far more efficient in this game than the previous two, which was truly the difference in the game. Some massive penalties kept the Chiefs in the game despite being otherwise dominated by Denver’s defense.
That’s how the NFL goes. You cannot control how some penalties are called, but a team must overcome them at times. The Broncos defense overcame the NFL picking on Riley Moss heavily and overcame having a pick six removed to dominate what the...

Throughout the 2025 NFL season, SB Nation’s Doug Farrar writes about the game’s Secret Superstars — those players whose performances might slip under the radar for whatever reasons. In this installment, we focus on Denver Broncos defensive back Ja’Quan McMillian, who went off against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday in Denver’s narrow (and crucial) win.
There are times as an analyst when the time you have to watch tape when it comes out, and the time you have to complete and publish an article, are in direct conflict. As a result, you can’t always pack everything...

I don’t think Sean Payton can keep the secret of what this team is any longer.
Yes, the Chiefs look like a pale specter of themselves this season (thank the football gods).
Yes, the Broncos offense has looked every part as young as it is many times in many games throughout the season.
But this Denver Broncos team is packed full of winners. This is Denver Broncos football being played at its finest.
Beating the Chiefs is no easy thing. I may despise their fanbase and their players’ smarmy faces, but I respect the hell out of Andy Reid and...

At 11 games in, Troy Franklin enters the 2025 bye week with 46 receptions off of 81 targets and 5 touchdowns. Not since the days of Glyn Milburn have fans been so excited by electric play and so incredibly frustrated by all the dropped balls.
On Sunday against the Chiefs, Troy Franklin and Courtland Sutton had 8 targets (4 catches) on Sunday. Against the Raiders, Franklin was targeted 9 times (5 catches) to Sutton’s 4 targets (3 catches). There is one big difference between Courtland and Franklin — Courtland usually catches the balls that hit him in the hands.
Franklin...
