The Detroit Lions (7-5) and Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1) have declared their injury designations ahead of their NFC showdown on “Thursday Night Football.”
Let’s take a look at the latest injury report and get you up to date with what we know. Note: Any changes from the last injury report will be bolded.

Pride of Detroit
We are back with a new episode of “Before the Roar” to get ready for a huge “Thursday Night Football” game between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys. After a tough loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, the Lions find themselves in a must-win situation in Week 14 in order to keep their playoff aspirations afloat.
Joining me (Morgan) to break things down ahead of the game is my good friend and host of the Pride of Detroit PODcast, Meko Scott. We kick things off by discussing the Cowboys’ recent surge after a tough start to the...
Pride of Detroit
It’s been a rough season for Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph. After a strong start—nabbing three interceptions in the first six games of the season—Joseph has been sidelined with a knee injury for the past six contests. The Lions have not placed him on injured reserve, yet he hasn’t practiced, and the only updates we’ve been regularly getting is that he’s improving.
Things came to a head this week when Joseph went on social media, posted a couple of concerning messages (“God help me,” “I’m lost 4 words”) before deleting his social media accounts completely.
Afterwards, we got a little...

It’s not quite a must-win game, but it’s just about as close as you can get to one. The Detroit Lions’ playoff odds with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys would drop their odds of making it to the postseason to just 12%, while a win would jump their probability to 45% (per the New York Times).
The stakes have not been higher this year, so the Lions are going to need some heroics from their roster. Whether it’s stopping the Cowboys’ high-powered offered, or trying to run on their new-and-improved defensive front, the Lions have their work cut out...
Pride of Detroit
Less than a week ago, the vibes were at an all-time high in Detroit. Frank Ragnow was set to return, the Detroit Lions had a chance to get even with the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, and it was finally time to re-join the playoff picture.
What a difference a week makes.
This week, we had the pleasure of connecting with David Halprin, Deputy Manager for Blogging the Boys, to give us some insight into Jerry’s world. We learned about how this team has responded in the face of tragedy, why Dak Prescott is the main reason this Dallas Cowboys’...

I knew my prediction last week was bold, and it was the biggest whiff I’ve had so far this year. Sometimes you’ve got to go big or go home, and I learned that sometimes shooting that far up is risky. This week, I want to predict something that seems bold, but not too bold.
The Detroit Lions host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, and the Cowboys come in with the number two offense in the NFL, averaging 29.3 points per game. When the Cowboys score over 24 points, they are 5-1-1. In their other five losses, they scored 14,...

The Detroit Lions (7-5) and Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1) were back on the practice field on Tuesday as they prepare for their Week 14 showdown on “Thursday Night Football.”
Let’s take a look at the latest injury report and get you up to date with what we know. Note: Any changes from the last injury report will be bolded.
NOTE: Terrion Arnold (shoulder) has been removed from the injury report and placed on injured reserve. After requiring shoulder surgery, his season is over.
Pride of Detroit
The Detroit Lions have just about arrived to do-or-die time. With a playoff spot now essentially two games away, the Lions can ill-afford struggles down the stretch. Five games remain on the schedule, and if the Lions win four of them, they are almost certainly going to make their third straight postseason. Unfortunately for the Lions, of their five remaining games, four are against teams that are in the depths of their own playoff races. Detroit’s final five games are:

Remember that feeling when it was announced that Frank Ragnow was unretiring? Suddenly, it felt like the Lions could peak at the right time, sneak into the playoffs, and be one of the most dangerous teams to face in the tournament. Were some of those hopes exaggerated due to recent hysteria? Probably. But it was a fun 24 hours, nonetheless.
What has since followed has been an avalanche of horrible events for the Lions. Amon-Ra St. Brown goes down with an ankle injury. The Lions lose to the Packers on Thanksgiving after [going 0-2 on fourth down while Green Bay...
Pride of Detroit
Last week was terrible for the Detroit Lions’ postseason chances. Not only was their loss to the Green Bay Packers a devasating blow to their divisional chances, but every team they are likely to battle for a Wild Card spot pulled out a Week 13 victory. That list includes the Packers, Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Detroit’s playoff chances plummeted anywhere from 28 to 43 percent in a single week, depending on which playoff simulator you prefer.
But this week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys provides the Lions a big...
Pride of Detroit
We’re in the thick of it now, December football. The next five games for the Detroit Lions will be huge as their playoff hopes took a hit after losing to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. Winning out would be massive for them, but their schedule isn’t favorable. The team also hasn’t won back-to-back games since September, as they continue to alternate between winning and losing.
The five-game journey starts at home on Thursday night against another team clinging to low playoff hopes in the Dallas Cowboys. Unlike the Lions, the Cowboys are coming in hot, on a three-game winning...
Pride of Detroit
The Detroit Lions continue to churn the bottom of their roster in the wake of mounting injuries. On Monday, they made a handful of transactions. Most notably, they were awarded tight end Hayden Rucci from waivers after the Miami Dolphins waived him on Saturday. He takes the roster spot left vacant after the Lions placed Terrion Arnold on injured reserve due to season-ending shoulder surgery.
Rucci went undrafted in 2024, and has spent the last season-and-a-half on and off the Dolphins roster. He made his NFL debut earlier this season in late October and has since played in five games....
