The Panthers add some front seven support with their 3rd round pick.

The Carolina Panthers have selected Kentucky linebacker Trevin Wallace with the 72nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Panthers get themselves a good blitzer from the traditional linebacker position who tackles well, can play some man coverage against tight ends, and has some decent athletic traits for a linebacker. He’s an aggressive linebacker who attacks the blocks and has some lateral and closing speed that could give him a chance to get some work on defense, though I think his value will come as a rotational player with plenty of special teams value as a rookie in 2025. We’ll bring more in depth analysis as we get to dive into his background.
