Miguez’s Mock Draft 2.0: The Saints Drafted WHO?!

Miguez’s Mock Draft 2.0: The Saints Drafted WHO?!
Canal Street Chronicles Canal Street Chronicles

So... hear me out...

The NFL Draft is just one week away and we’re getting closer and closer to talking about who the New Orleans Saints will actually draft instead of speculation.

However, until that time, the speculation will continue. So here comes another mock draft, but this one has some surprises in it.

1.14: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

I don’t even know how this happened.

This will almost NEVER happen, but Jayden Daniels wearing the Black and Gold would be a ton of fun. Pairing him with an elusive back like AK and pass catchers like Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, AT Perry, and more would elevate him to a new level very early in his career.

I know people are worried about his pressure-to-sack ratio, which is very high, but I feel like Daniels will adjust his game in the NFL to where it doesn't become as much of a factor.

2.45: Kiran Amegadjie, T, Yale

Amegadjie stands at 6’5” and 325 pounds, he has a ton of strength while being long and athletic. However, the general feeling is that he would be a project rather than a ready-to-play type of guy. In reality, The Saints probably take a tackle at 14 and hope that player could suit up and go in September.

REMAINING PICKS (TRADE INCOMING):

5.150: Jordan Whittington, WR, Texas

5.168: Will Shipley, RB, Clemson

5.170: Braiden McGregor, ED, Michigan

5.175: Steele Chambers, LB, Ohio St

6.190: Tory Taylor, P, Iowa

6.199: Javion Cohen, G, Miami

TRADE:

Saints receive Andre Jones Jr, ED; 2025 2nd and 2025 4th

Commanders receive Derek Carr, QB; 7.239 and 2025 6th

PFF gave the draft a grade of “A”. How would you feel if the New Orleans Saints were able to pull off something similar to this? A lot of different needs were addressed as well as depth in a few positions.
