Eagles 7-round mock draft, big board, and ‘my guys’ list

Eagles 7-round mock draft, big board, and ‘my guys’ list
Bleeding Green Nation Bleeding Green Nation

As all of my rankings are done, I thought I would also release the Eagles’ big board I have created based on the prospects I managed to watch.

If you’ve missed the rankings...

Running Backs / Wide Receivers / Tight Ends / Offensive Line / Defensive Line / EDGE / Linebacker / Cornerback / Safety

Reminder, before you read ahead:

  1. I have ranked these players based on the Eagles’ needs and scheme fits. Therefore, the round grade I have given considers that. For example, I may have had a 2nd round grade on a player like Trey Benson if the Eagles badly needed a running back, but I have pushed him down the board after the signing of Barkley.
  2. I try to watch as much film as I can on these guys, but I also rely on others for stats and other data. Huge credit to PFF and Dane Brugler for some of the stats and measurables used in the pieces.
  3. If I haven’t ranked someone, that’s because I haven’t watched them, not because I don’t like them!

My Guys

I feel like everyone has to have a ‘guy’ now. I don’t even know what a ‘my guy’ is? I’m guessing it’s someone you are higher than consensus on? Well, I’m just going to pick a few players that I love to watch and that I would love to see on the Eagles. Does that count?!

Round 1

Laiatu Latu: The best defender in the class, in my opinion.

Jer’Zhan Newton: He would give the Eagles a freak.

Terrion Arnold: CB1 and he seems like an extremely likable guy.

Amarius Mims: “whispers”... he moves like Jason Peters.

Round 2

Graham Barton: He reminds me of Zach Martin and could be a starting right guard and potential future right tackle.

Xavier Worthy: He’s fast and fun!

Cooper Beebe: Immediate starting right guard.

Braden Fiske: I love defensive tackles who win quickly.

Junior Colson: A linebacker who is actually good!

Rounds 3+

Malachi Corley: Pure chaos and fun with the ball in his hands. A chess piece.

Trey Benson: An explosive home run hitter at running back.

Ben Sinnott: A FB/TE hybrid that Kellen Moore would love.

Malik Mustapha: A fantastic run defender from the safety position.

Tyrone Tracey: My favorite day 3 target. Former WR who offers explosive play potential at RB.

MarShawn Lloyd: I’m a sucker for an explosive running back... (as you can probably tell).

Mock Draft

For all you loyal Bleeding Green readers, I thought I would do another mock draft and post it exclusively here. Here is what I managed to come up with, and I think I would be happy with this! This is using PFF’s mock draft tool, of course. No trades allowed.

1: All my guys had gone (typical) so I went for Latham, who I really like. He can start immediately at right guard and will hopefully end up at right tackle.
