Chicago Bears fill all the needs Mock Draft

The goal of this Bears mock draft was to fill all remaining needs on the roster, so that meant a couple of trade backs.

After presumably filling their quarterback need with the draft's first pick, the Chicago Bears are apparently weighing their options for the ninth pick between defensive end, offensive tackle, and wide receiver. General manager Ryan Poles said they plan to divide their staff into three teams to debate the best direction to take.

From the Bears' site.

“One team is going to talk about [why] the tackle position is the best to go after, [why] the receiver’s the best, [why] the defensive end’s the best and use factual information to spit that out—and we’ll have a debate in terms of what’s more impactful for our football team, short-term and long-term.”

Those three positions have some obvious blue-chippers that will be around when the Bears go on the clock, and while I could argue that offensive tackle isn't as big a need as the other two, I could get on board if an OT is the pick.

For my latest theme mock, I wanted to address all of Chicago's needs, so I asked fans on Twitter to give me the positions — besides offensive tackle, defensive end, and wideout — that they could see the Bears hoping to target.

My rules for this mock is to come away with the positions mentioned most, so besides the three the Bears scouts are looking into, and besides the QB at one, I'll need to draft a center, guard, defensive tackle, and safety.

With only four draft picks and eight positions needed in this mock, I'd had to make a few trades, and here's how those went down.

I sent the Bears 9th pick to the Broncos for their 12th overall and the 76th pick.

I then sent the 12th to the Cowboys for picks 24, 56, and 174.

And finally, I moved pick 76 to the Colts for 82 and 151.

Here's the mock using the NFL Mock Draft Database simulator!

1) Caleb Williams, QB | USC: No doubt about it.

24) Demeioun "Chop" Robinson, EDGE | Penn State: The Bears are desperate for a defensive end, and I was fortunate there was a top one available after a couple of trade-downs. There isn't strong depth at this position, so my strategy in this mock was to take the best one in the first and get a receiver later.

56) Roman Wilson, WR | Michigan: Later happened to be the next pick as Wilson was too good of value to pass up. He has decent size at 5'11", 185 pounds, but his calling card is his 4.39 forty.

75) Michael Hall Jr., DT | Ohio State: Hall is a good athlete with a quick first step and would find reps at the three-technique for the Bears.

82) Patrick Paul, OT | Houston: He's a much better pass blocker than run blocker, but that's something that NFL coaching and a...
