Current and former NFL players will announce several picks on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft, and the best trash-talker in the league will represent the Birds.
Every year, teams have either current players or legends announce their Day 2 picks, and for the 2024 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles have chosen Brandon Graham to make the calls.
As the Eagles’ longest tenured player, and one of the best trash talkers in the league, BG was a great choice and should bring a lot of energy to Friday’s rounds. The 15-year veteran is slated to make both of the team’s second round picks (No. 50 and 53 overall) — that is, if the Eagles keep those nearly back-to-back picks with the way Howie Roseman likes to make trades.
Graham wanted to return to Philly for one more season, and getting to announce a pair of draft picks is the perfect way to start his farewell tour.
David Akers set a high bar when he was the Eagles’ legendary picker in 2018, taking some great shots at the Cowboys in his lead up to announcing the selection. But, Brandon Graham will certainly have some things to say on Friday night when he steps up to the mic.
Aside from BG, former Eagles CB Troy Vincent is the league’s representative for all other picks in Rounds 2 and 3, accounting for about 13 or so selections. Vincent is the NFL’s Executive Vice President of Football Operations, and with Roger Goodell recovering from off-season back surgery, he seems to be stepping into the commissioners role for the evening.
