When and where

Kansas City Chiefs fans will be interested in the 2024 NFL Draft, which will be held around Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit, Michigan on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Coverage of the first round will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday. Second and third-round coverage will start at 6 p.m. Friday — and then the fourth through seventh rounds are set to get underway at 11 a.m. Saturday. (All times are Arrowhead Time).

Clear skies and temperatures in the low 50s will greet the crowds on Thursday night. But clouds are expected to increase on Friday, with rain showers possible on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

Broadcast coverage

NFL Network and NFL+ will feature Rich Eisen, Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis, Joel Klatt, Ian Rapoport and Kaylee Hartung on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Kurt Warner will join them on Thursday, with Peter Schrager taking his place on Friday and Saturday.

ESPN’s show will include Mike Greenberg, Mel Kiper Jr., Booger McFarland, Louis Riddick, Adam Schefter and Molly McGrath on Thursday and Friday. Coverage will air on ESPN on Thursday, but will be carried by ESPN2 on Friday. Then on Saturday, the show moves back to ESPN with Rece Davis, Kiper, Riddick, Field Yates and Matt Miller.

ABC (KMBC/9 in Kansas City) will provide deeper coverage with Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Field Yates**,** Laura Rutledge and Pete Thamel on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, ABC will simulcast ESPN’s coverage.

ESPN Desportes, DirecTV, Fubo and Plex will also offer full coverage on all three days.

Radio coverage will be available on Westwood One Radio, ESPN Radio and Sirius XM NFL Radio (channel 88)

Time Limits

In the first round, teams will be allowed 10 minutes to make their selections. This will be reduced to seven minutes in the second round and five minutes in the third through sixth rounds. In the seventh round, teams will be limited to four minutes for each choice. If a pick is not turned in during the allotted time, the pick will be forfeited — and the next team in order will go on the clock.

Chiefs media

Following the first round on Thursday night, media members will have the opportunity to question Kansas City head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach. Assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi will be made available to reporters after the third round on Friday night. Area scouts will have press availabilities after picks that are made on Saturday.

In addition, we expect each of the Chiefs’ newly acquired players to have their first Kansas City press conferences shortly after they have been selected.

All press opportunities will be through Zoom. We expect to cover all of them on Arrowhead Pride.
