Titans spent a lot of time with QB Cam Ward at NFL Combine

The Tennessee Titans had an outstanding opportunity to assess Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward at the 2025 NFL Combine. Though Ward did not participate athletically or in throwing drills, it represented the Titans’ first opportunity to assess their potential No. 1 overall selection up close and personal.

Ward impressed the Titans during his media session. Unsurprisingly, he was frequently asked questions about Tennessee. He displayed strong knowledge of head coach Brian Callahan and his offense, even claiming some of the offensive concepts are similar to what he executed at Miami this past season.

Though Ward did not participate in Saturday evening’s quarterback throwing session, he took advantage of his presence to roam the field. Titans quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree was seen flanking Ward. Interestingly enough, a New York Giants assistant coach also joined them. The Giants own the No. 3 overall pick and have been linked to trading with the Titans to move up for the right to select the top-ranked quarterback.

Hardegree was also seen with Ward, Sanders, and Jaxson Dart in the same sequence.

Paul Kuharsky has already confirmed the Titans will be hosting Ward on an in-person “top” 30 visit at their facility. They’ll also host Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter, Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Essentially, they are hosting all four players they’ve been linked to at No. 1 overall.

The Titans are rightfully doing their due diligence on Ward. They maximized their opportunity to assess him at the 2025 NFL Combine despite him declining to participate in anything physical. Quarterbacks coach Hardegree was clearly part of the contingent directed to do their homework on Ward.

The QB-needy Titans, who must replace Will Levis this offseason, are clearly considering Ward with the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
