The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Los Angeles Rams in nasty conditions Sunday to advance to the NFC championship. However, not everyone who rooted for the Eagles came away happy.

After a near-late game collapse, the Eagles failed to cover the opening six-point spread, winning 28-22 for a push. Bettors who took the Eagles on gameday at -6.5 lost outright.

It was a bad beat. Los Angeles scored with under three minutes left to cut into Philly's 13-point lead and undercut Eagles bettors. That was only made possible by Jake Elliott, who missed two of his three extra point tries on the day. The misses didn't come back to haunt the Eagles, who held up on the Rams' potential game-winning drive, but they did hurt bettors.

At BetMGM, 65% of tickets and 83% of money on the spread had the Eagles.

However, while Eagles bettors will have a gripe with Elliott, the team's fans will have a harder time staying mad at him. Though he's just 2-of-5 on extra points this postseason after missing one all regular season, he nailed all three of his field goal attempts in the snowy weather -- including two clutch fourth-quarter kicks -- to stay perfect for his postseason career.
