New Pittsburgh Steelers safety Makari Paige will wear No. 27. Paige signed a one-year contract with the club last Wednesday.
Paige, 24, is a 6-foot-3, 208-pound defensive back. He was signed as an undrafted free agent of the New York Giants out of Michigan in 2025. He was released by the Giants last August and did not sign with another team.
Paige wore No. 38 during his brief stint with the Giants. At Michigan, Paige donned No. 7.
A native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Paige spent five seasons with the Wolverines from 2020-24. He got his start on special teams...
The Pittsburgh Steelers began their first week of OTAs on Monday, and it’s already clear to see what changes they are exploring on offense. Specifically, their first-team offensive line looks much different than it did when the 2025 season ended.
The Steelers didn’t bring back long-time guard Isaac Seumalo, which led to the veteran signing with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency. They also drafted Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft and Iowa offensive lineman Gennings Dunker in the third round with the intention of moving him to guard.

Behind the Steel Curtain
PITTSBURGH — Four-time Associated Press NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers returned to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, right in time for the start of the team’s first OTAs under new head coach Mike McCarthy.
After warming up, Rodgers took the bulk of the Steelers’ signal-caller snaps alongside Will Howard, Mason Rudolph and Drew Allar.
Rodgers went 10-6 as the Steelers’ starting quarterback last season, throwing for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has history with McCarthy, being that the two worked together with the Green Bay Packers to win Super Bowl XLV.

It’s no surprise that QB Aaron Rodgers is the Pittsburgh Steelers’ No. 1 quarterback with OTAs underway. But what is a little bit surprising is that QB Will Howard is the No. 2 option, with Mason Rudolph serving as the No. 3 quarterback and Drew Allar the No. 4 with the voluntary practices beginning on […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers have shaken up their offensive line to begin the spring. Although the team is months away from cementing its starting five, the initial look for Monday’s OTAs was much different than how things ended a year ago. Per The Trib’s Chris Adamski, the front five looked like this: LT – Troy Fautanu […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed undrafted free agent cornerback Tamon Lynum from Pitt, who was brought in for a tryout at rookie minicamp. He’s wearing No. 42.
With playing at Pitt, Lynum felt like he was in his own backyard at Steelers rookie minicamp.
“I feel comfortable,” Lynum said at rookie minicamp. “I feel the same. It’s just on the other side of the building now. So that’s all, but I feel very comfortable being back here. This is like my second home.”
Lynmun, who stands at 6-foot-2. 195 pounds, takes pride in his physicality.
“I’ll say my biggest strength...
The Pittsburgh Steelers added three wide receivers this offseason (if you’re including Iowa return specialist Kaden Wetjen in that group). They just re-signed QB Aaron Rodgers. Factor in new head coach Mike McCarthy, and the Steelers offense will be trying to throw all over the park. Right? Not so fast. Beat writer Mark Kaboly joined […]

When the Pittsburgh Steelers released jersey numbers for their rookie class, fans immediately looked at kick returner/wide receiver Kaden Wetjen in No. 42 and had some questions.
The Iowa product let it be known he would have a new number before the season started, and he has now made the change official, switching to No. 10. The number became available after Roman Wilson switched to No. 14, which was the number he wore at Michigan.
The Steelers begin their first round of OTAs on Monday.

Behind the Steel Curtain
The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially announced that Aaron Rodgers will return for the 2026 season, finally putting an end to months of speculation surrounding the future of the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
Unlike last offseason, when Rodgers’ decision dragged deep into June and left the organization waiting throughout OTAs, this agreement comes much earlier and gives Pittsburgh far more clarity heading into the summer. For a team entering a new era under Mike McCarthy, having its starting quarterback in place before camp is a major step toward building continuity offensively.
Rodgers, now 42 years old, will receive a significant...
The Pittsburgh Steelers are running it back with Aaron Rodgers in 2026. Considering their hopes to compete at the highest level this year, that makes sense. However, it’s not a sign that the Steelers have things figured out at the quarterback position for the long haul. Last year, Rodgers played well enough to get the […]
