Steelers OTAs, or organized team activities, kicked off on Monday in Pittsburgh. And despite the practice’s voluntary nature, the team saw good attendance on Day 1 — even newly re-signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers was present.
The team still has nine OTAs and a mandatory minicamp before training camp starts later in the summer. The depth charts and roster are still far from complete, and with contact disallowed, plays and drills are a shell of what they’ll be later in the year.
Still, Monday’s OTA marked one of the first looks at what the 2026 Steelers are shaping up to be....

Isaac Seumalo was the elder statesman of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive line, the veteran among a group of rookies and second-year players. With Seumalo leaving in free agency for the Arizona Cardinals, there’s a leadership void. It’s being filled not by a Steelers player, but by one of the team’s new coaches – assistant line […]

Upgrading at wide receiver was near the top of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ to-do list this offseason, and they didn’t hesitate to add talent to that room. Most notably, they traded for Michael Pittman Jr. and moved up in the second round of the draft to take Germie Bernard. While Pittman figures to be the team’s […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed CB Tamon Lynum, the team announced today. An undrafted rookie out of Pitt, Lynum took part in the Steelers’ rookie minicamp last weekend. He becomes the second tryout player from rookie minicamp the Steelers have signed, joining former Michigan C Greg Crippen. We have signed undrafted free agent DB Tamon Lynum. […]

OTAs have begun for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and that’s started to paint a picture of what the team could look like this season. Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Josh Mauro died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol intoxication, Arizona officials revealed. Mauro was found dead in his Phoenix home on April 23.
The Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner announced its findings on Friday.
Mauro spent the 2014 offseason with the Steelers after joining the team as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford. He did not play a regular-season game for the club, but went on to have an eight-year NFL career.
“With many tears and broken hearts, yet anchored in the unshakable certainty that our precious Josh...
After drafting Arizona State tackle Max Iheanachor and Iowa guard Gennings Dunker with two of their first four picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, it was clear that change to the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line would be imminent.
Pittsburgh has spent three of the last four first-round picks on offensive tackles. With Broderick Jones still recovering from a serious neck injury that he suffered in November, his status remains up in the air.
Troy Fautanu has suddenly become the most available and ready tackle that the Steelers currently have. However, should Jones be ready to go for the start of...

Pittsburgh Steelers OLB Alex Highsmith has been a playmaker every time he’s stepped on the field. A third-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft has certainly impressed in Pittsburgh with 45 career sacks, 64 tackles for a loss, 10 forced fumbles, and 91 quarterback hits. He’s also picked off three passes and deflected another 10. […]

Troy Fautanu settled in nicely during his second season as a pro. However, there’s some change in store for the young tackle. Not just the position he might play but also the offense he’ll be playing in. Speaking after the Steelers’ first OTA session, Fautanu explained his initial takeaways of the offense Mike McCarthy will […]

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers took the field for the first time in 2026, for their first of 10 OTA sessions, with none other than Aaron Rodgers leading the team, but the starting quarterback signing his contract might not have been the biggest news out of UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Monday.
The Steelers were obviously going to be making some changes to their offensive line after losing Isaac Seumalo in free agency and selecting Max Iheanachor and Gennings Dunker in the first and third rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The changes turned out to be nearly wholesale, with...
The wait is over, and Aaron Rodgers has officially joined the Pittsburgh Steelers for a second season. While it seemed like Rodgers would only be with the team for a single season, he clearly enjoyed his time in Pittsburgh enough to run it back. This feels like it will be the veteran quarterback’s final season, […]

Mike McCarthy wasn’t lying he when told wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. he wanted to use him differently compared to how the Indianapolis Colts did in recent years. An underneath receiver the past two seasons, Pittman spent his first day in Pittsburgh moving all around. A point Pittman made to reporters after Monday’s first OTAs […]
