Can Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy recreate the magic they had at their peak in Green Bay? Or will Act II end in a bitter fallout as some have feared? Former NFL general manager Tom Telesco thinks concerns about Rodgers and McCarthy coexisting in Pittsburgh are overblown. “There’s obviously respect between the two because Mike […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers are running it back with Aaron Rodgers in 2026, polarizing the fan base. The Steelers were left on hold for months before getting a decision, similar to their wait in 2025. This year, they’ll hope the in-season result with Rodgers is different. Last year, Pittsburgh went 10-7 with a playoff loss. While […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed a 42-year-old Aaron Rodgers, giving them their starting quarterback for 2026. Some believe Rodgers could improve upon his 2025 season, in large part due to the Steelers’ offseason offensive additions. They have a better group of skill players than last year. Chris Simms even thinks this is the best group […]

River Bluff High School football head coach Perry Parks announced on Twitter that he’s joining the Pittsburgh Steelers through the Bill Walsh Diversity Fellowship Program this year. The Steelers have frequently given coaches opportunities through this program in the past. While Mike Tomlin is gone, it looks like that might not change. Beyond excited and […]

Welcome to the Steelers Afternoon Drive, our new daily podcast featuring all the latest Steelers news and analysis.
Alan Saunders and Zachary Smith discuss all things Pittsburgh Steelers.
On today’s episode, we discuss what to take away from Brian Angelichio, Patrick Graham and Danny Crossman’s availabilities. What did Alan take away from what they had to say. Is there anything that stands out in regard to how things will go under a new regime? How different will the team operate under McCarthy? How different do we view their ceiling and floor as a team? What do we make of an...
The Pittsburgh Steelers already have two young quarterbacks on their roster, Will Howard and Drew Allar. But the team might still have a chance to bring in another young quarterback if Texas Tech’s Brendan Sorsby enters the supplemental draft. Whether he will remains to be seen. But if he does, Steelers beat writer Ray Fittipaldo […]

The moment the Steelers selected Penn State’s Drew Allar in the 2026 NFL Draft, it became inevitable: We were in for an offseason of quarterback discourse.
A few weeks later, Pittsburgh made the long-awaited signing of Aaron Rodgers, leaving the team with four roster-able quarterbacks in the league that tends to only keep three after cutdown day.
How do you see it playing out?
There’s still a lot of the offseason to play out, but here are my initial thoughts:
Rodgers and Allar (despite what Chris Simms might think) are the...
Behind the Steel Curtain
PITTSBURGH — Say it with me: “There is no such thing as a natural position for an offensive lineman.”
Allow the stress of overreacting to the Pittsburgh Steelers moving their offensive lineman leave your body.
Close your eyes and imagine Craig Wolfley, frolicking downfield as a pulling guard. Then remember that The Wolf Man moved to tackle late in his Steelers career. Remember that Alan Faneca was an All-Pro, even when forced to play tackle for a season due to injuries. Remember that Dermontti Dawson started his Hall of Fame career at guard before moving to center.
Another voice joins...
After dramatically winning the AFC North last season, the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves set to play a first-place schedule in 2026. Following the Week 9 bye, the Steelers enter a difficult stretch of games against powerhouse teams, including the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Baltimore Ravens. Before that stretch of games, […]

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Troy Fautanu thinks Mike McCarthy‘s offense is very similar to the offense he played under at Washington.
“The first thing that I thought of when they started talking about it is that it kind of reminded me of my offense in college. A lot of passing the ball,” Fautanu said.
There’s no doubt about it, McCarthy loves to employ 11 personnel (one running back, one tight end, three wide receivers) and throw the ball all over the field.
Fautanu is excited to play under an offensive-minded head coach again.
“He’s awesome. Small sample size....
Cameron Johnston’s NFL career has taken some wild turns. He signed with the Steelers on a hefty contract for a punter in 2024 but played in just one game before suffering a devastating knee injury. Since then, he’s found it difficult to regain his NFL footing. However, the cards seem to be in Johnston’s favor […]
