The Jets lost to the Patriots on Thursday Night Football. Let’s hand out some anti-game balls to the players who didn’t deliver.
Adonai Mitchell: Garrett Wilson’s injury provided an opportunity for a young wde receiver like Mitchell to step into the lineup and make an impression. Mitchell did. Unfortunately it was the wrong sort of impression. He let two well thrown passes go through his hands that would have resulted in big plays. The Jets scored a touchdown after the second one so I guess it didn’t hurt the team all that much. It certainly hurt Mitchell’s hopes of showing...

In 2023, the NFL Player’s Association released their first ownership grades, giving a letter assessment to NFL owners about their treatment of players in multiple categories such as food, number of trainers, how they treat families on game day, and more. In the two-plus years since, NFL owners who have received poor grades in the rankings have either chosen to get better and raise their grades or chosen to complain and press the union to suppress the grades.
New York Jets owner Woody Johnson is apparently one of the owners trying to suppress the grades.
In March 2025 at the...

The Jets lost to the Patriots on Thursday Night Football 27-14.
I think we all need to acknowledge is the quality difference in these teams and the difference in where these teams are in their respective cycles.
You might say those are excuses. I’d say calling the Patriots a better team is hardly excuse-making. It’s fact. This season New England is one of the best teams in the league. The Jets are at the bottom. The Patriots are where the Jets hope to be in a couple of seasons. They have successfully executed a rebuild.
From a Jets perspective, it’s...

Good morning Gang Green Nation!
The New York Jets took on the first place New England Patriots on the road last night. The results were predictable. A superior Patriots team cruised to victory against an outgunned Jets team. The Jets fought hard and kept the game reasonably close, but after the Patriots took a 14 – 7 lead midway through the second quarter, the Jets never threatened to take the lead at any point in the remainder of the game. It was a reminder of the large gap that exists between the Jets and the better teams in the NFL....

In the New York Jets’ 10th game of the 2025 season, on a clear, cold night in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the Jets lost to the New England Patriots, 27 – 14.
The first half saw the Jets get off to a fast start with a long opening drive for a touchdown and an early 7 – 0 lead. After that it was all Patriots. The Jets couldn’t move the ball at all the rest of the half. The Patriots, on the other hand, put together a couple of long touchdown drives to make the score 14 – 7 in favor of...

The first half of the New York Jets game against the New England Patriots is in the books, and the Jets are trailing the Patriots, 14 – 7.
The game opened with the Jets on offense. They put together an impressive, long, clock-chewing drive ending in a Justin Fields five yard run for a touchdown and an early 7 – 0 Jets lead.
A fast first quarter came to an end with the Patriots on their first drive of the game deep in Jets territory, threatening to even up the game on the Jets 11 yard line. Two plays later...

Thursday Night Football, Week 11. Tonight the New England Patriots host the New York Jets. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 pm EST.
The 8-2 New England Patriots come into this game as hot as any team in the NFL, riding a seven game winning streak. They sit in first place in the AFC East. The Patriots have benefitted from a weak schedule, but they have also beaten some good teams. They beat the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo in early October, and last week the Patriots took down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa. The Patriots are a tough matchup for...

This week in our SB Nation Reacts survey asked Jets fans whether they expect Breece Hall to remain with the team after this season. Hall is in the final year of his contract. The Jets kept him at the trade deadline despite trading other big names on the roster. The fact Hall is still on the team could be taken as a sign he is part of the future plans. After all, the team didn’t hesitate to trade other players, and it would have made sense to get something in return if he wasn’t going to be back.
Either way,...

After their moves at the trade deadline, the New York Jets have revamped the look of their potential 2026 NFL draft class. With more picks comes more opportunity, which means there’s more players to look at. It’s impossible to predict exactly what the NY Jets will do with their 2026 NFL draft picks. However, we can start looking at potential prospects who may find themselves on the Jets radar. And with that in mind, we’re going to look at Day 2 options for the team in the upcoming draft.
Currently, the Jets do not have a third-round selection in the...

Throughout the 2025 NFL season, SB Nation’s Doug Farrar will write about the game’s Secret Superstars — those players whose performances might slip under the radar for whatever reasons. In this installment, we focus on New York Jets pass-rusher Will McDonald IV, who had the game of his life after the franchise traded away their two best defensive players. McDonald’s word of the week was “relentless,” and that’s exactly what he was.
It’s never easy to be part of a team that has clearly punted the present for a better future. Though the New York Jets really didn’t have a...
