Good morning Gang Green Nation!
The NFL trade deadline is now just one day away. So far the Jets have been pretty quiet, executing just one minor trade when they shipped Michael Carter II and a 2027 seventh round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for John Metchie III and a 2027 sixth round pick. There have been plenty of trade rumors regarding several other Jets players, but thus far they have remained just rumors. My guess is the Jets might do one more relatively minor trade, but the guys who might bring back substantial draft capital will remain...

The New York Jets are coming off their bye week after finally winning their first game of the year against the Cincinnati Bengals a week ago.
The Jets offense had a monster game, with more than 500 yards of total offense. Justin Fields rebounded from being benched the week prior with one of the finest performances of his career. The Jets scored 39 points, yet the defense played so poorly most of the game that it took an epic fourth quarter comeback just to take a one point lead late in the game. The Jets defense then stopped the Bengals...

Week 9 Sunday Night Football. Tonight the 3-5 Washington Commanders host the 5-2 Seattle Seahawks.
The Seattle Seahawks come into this game off their bye week. Prior to their bye the Seahawks won five of their last six games. The Seahawks have the best run defense in the NFL to date. On offense Sam Darnold has continued his breakout success of last year, leading the NFL in yards per attempt and posting an outstanding 109+ passer rating. Jaxson Smith-Njigba has developed into one of the best receivers in the game, leading the NFL in receiving yards and yards per target....

It’s always easy to break a game down to a handful of plays that decided the outcome in the aftermath of a game. Often, it’s a big defensive swing like a sack or an interception or a big offensive play that sets up or scores a touchdown.
But in a close game like the New York Jets’ win (wow that’s nice to type) over the Cincinnati Bengals just about every play matters. To illustrate that, here is the down, distance, play description, and win probability at the end of the play for the Bengals last drive.
As shown here, The...

The Jets finally got their first win of the season in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The victory did wonders for fan confidence. You can see that in our latest SB Nation Reacts survey.
A week ago, only 13 percent of Jets fans voted that they are confident in the team’s direction. This week over half of our voters said they are confident in the team’s direction.
Similarly head coach Aaron Glenn was experiencing a lack of confidence from the fan base. Less than one-third of Jets fans voted that he is the right man for the job last...

How to watch: Sat, 11/01 , 10:15 PM/EST – ESPN
As the 2026 NFL Draft cycle quietly starts taking shape, one name beginning to climb onto the radar of scouts and potentially the Jets is Brendan Sorsby. The former Indiana transfer has found his groove at his new program, showing the kind of composure, accuracy, and athleticism that NFL evaluators covet. This week’s matchup against Utah provides a perfect test. The Utes boast one of the most physical defenses in the country, known for disguising pressure and forcing quarterbacks to make quick, correct reads. If Sorsby can stay poised and...

Good morning Gang Green Nation!
The New York Jets have been rumored to be in the market for trading Breece Hall for months. Now, as the trade deadline looms just a few days away, sources are saying, not so fast. Rumors are the Jets may be more inclined to extend Hall than trade him. What do you think? Should the Jets trade Hall, extend him, or just let him walk in free agency next year?

Thursday Night Football, Week 9. Tonight the Miami Dolphins host the Baltimore Ravens.
The 2-5 Baltimore Ravens have fielded an uncharacteristically terrible defense this season. They also have been hurt by the absence of star quarterback Lamar Jackson due to injury. As a result the Ravens started the season 1-5 before winning last week against the Chicago Bears. Now they hope to start to string some wins together and perhaps get back in the playoff race, starting tonight against the Miami Dolphins.
The 2-6 Miami Dolphins are coming off a win last week against an Atlanta Falcons team missing their...

It was a rough game for the Jets defense in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Fortunately for the Jets, one of the few times the unit stepped up was when it needed a stop to close out the game late in the fourth quarter.
The Bengals started their final drive with a quick first down. Then the Jets got their stop to end the game.
On first down, the Jets ran a Tampa 2 type coverage. It is a Cover 2 defense. There are two deep safeties with zone coverage underneath. Jamien Sherwood’s job is to defend the hole...
