The Atlanta Falcons have lost four in a row, and The Falcoholic is still forcing me to find three nice things to say every week (please help, they have my family). Here’s the Week 10 3 up and 3 down.
Walker didn’t stuff the stat sheet like last week, but his presence was felt all game. He was once again a force against the run and pass. His motor stands out every play, and he was rewarded for it on James Pearce Jr.’s strip sack. The Falcons defense is a sack-generating machine, and Walker...

Sills was wide open late when Penix missed him badly, so he was in the position to make a splash play in this one. I still don’t understand...

Another week, another heartbreaking Falcons loss.
This should feel better. The Falcons put a lot of good stuff on tape, including another big game from Drake London, a massive game from the Falcons’ pass rush, and a bit of a resurgence from the Falcons’ run game in a losing effort.
Despite that, we are tasked to look at the bright side here, so here is this week’s highlight reel for the Atlanta Falcons as they fall to the Indianapolis Colts in overtime.
The Colts were 15-of-17 on 4th down...

The Atlanta Falcons have perfected loss. They lose on the road and at home, in the United States and Europe. They lose in blowouts to the Miami Dolphins and squeakers to the New England Patriots. They lose in regulation and they lose in overtime. They lose after productive games give us hope and they lose well after hope has fled from our hearts. They simply lose, and if they aren’t quite the pitiful losers the Jets and Raiders are, they still do it in a fashion that’s incredibly painful and frequent enough to make them a losing football team. For...

The Atlanta Falcons gave their international fans a vintage performance in this tough overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The Falcons now stand at 3-6 with a less than 20% chance of making the playoffs.
Here are the Week 10 snap reactions.
The defense keeps stacking sacks — seven in this game — and everyone is getting in on the fun. Nate Ollie was touted in the offseason as a big addition, and I’d argue he’s the most impactful hire they made.
Not only has Ollie gotten instant results from his rookie...

The Falcons put up quite a fight against the Colts in Berlin, but offensive struggles and a few key misses on defense were ultimately their undoing in a brutal overtime loss. Kevin Knight and Allen Strk break down the game, including the end of the (reasonable) playoff hopes, Penix’s struggles, frustrating defensive and special teams miscues, and more. The Atlanta Falcons went to Germany with everything to play for and their season basically hanging in the balance, and they found a way to fritter it away instead. A team that has made embarrassment an art form found a new way to get it done in Berlin, and at 3-6, they’re screwed.
The Falcons were bad early but rallied, actually took a four point lead at one point, and then frittered that way thanks to offensive ineptitude. After letting the Colts take the lead, they managed to get it back again, then allowed the Colts to go downfield and...

What a week 9.
With some massive upsets (congratulations to the Steelers, Cardinals, Vikings, and *checks notes* Panthers), the top of the NFL power rankings saw plenty of movement this week. The playoffs are fast approaching as we get into the heart of November, and teams like the Ravens, Jaguars (I guess), and Steelers are making late-season pushes to guarantee a spot in the postseason dance.
With the Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Tennessee Titans resting up this week, let’s get into the Week 10 NFL Power Rankings.
Total. Domination. The...

Brew a cup of coffee, down that Mountain Dew, or simply bask in the glow of the morning sun and prepare yourself for the earliest Falcons game of the year. It’s Falcons-Colts in Germany, and I hope to god it’s a good game.
Use this as your open thread, and go Falcons forever, no matter what.

Despite the emphasis on the run game for both the Atlanta Falcons and the Indianapolis Colts, much of this week’s intrigue centers on matchups in the passing game. If both teams are successful in getting Bijan Robinson and Jonathan Taylor going, a deciding factor in Sunday’s outcome could rest on which of these intriguing pass-game matchups goes their way.
However, despite an immense amount of intrigue, rules stipulate that only five Falcons can be named.
Coming on the heels of a three-touchdown performance, Falcons wide receiver Drake London will have to square off against one of the...

Time continues to tick on the Falcons’ 2025 season, as they take their play across the pond and to Berlin, Germany for a showdown against the team with the best record in the NFL up to this point, in the upstart Indianapolis Colts.
The losing streak has reached three games for the Birds, following their defeat against the Patriots this past weekend. Now they find themselves faced with a Colts team that has been the surprise of the season, sporting an offense which is currently operating on a historic pace. For those watching on the east coast, this will be...

The Atlanta Falcons will be facing an uphill climb to get their running game back on track against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. They are down at least one starter on their offensive line, left guard Matthew Bergeron, and may be down another with right guard Chris Lindstrom listed as questionable. Coupled with the continued reliance on backup right tackle Elijah Wilkinson, the Falcons’ offensive line will face their biggest challenge of the season in Germany on Sunday morning.
That challenge will center on the Falcons’ ability to reestablish their run game, which has gone sorely missing as the...
