The New York Giants added a key piece to their defense over the offseason, as they signed linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to a three-year, $36 million contract.

It will take some time for him to fully adjust to his new football environment, but so far, he seems to love what he’s seeing on the team.

The veteran defender even had some great words for teammate and fellow Pro Bowler Brian Burns.

“I think we all knew he was a good player. I knew that. But just seeing him work, you know what I mean, seeing how smart he is, you know what I’m saying, how he helps his teammates out around him. That’s something that you don’t see unless you’re in the building with him. So, I take my hat off to him,” the two-time Pro Bowler Edmunds said (h/t Giants.com).

Edmunds, who played his first five years in the league with the Buffalo Bills before a three-season stint with the Chicago Bears, further explained what he loves about Burns.

“He’s not a selfish player,” continued Edmunds. Probably one of the most unselfish guys that I see on the team, but if there’s any questions, the young guys come to him, I see like he’s helping them out without even wanting anything in return. So, you got to appreciate guys like that. He’s seen a lot of ball, played at a high level.”

Together, Edmunds and Burns will look to help the Giants turn things around in 2026 after the team won only four games in 2025. Last season, New York allowed the seventh-most total points (439).
