Did the Packers GM have anything substantive to say at the podium yesterday? Kinda!

Coaches and General Managers endured their annual media scrums this morning, ushering in the start of the 2025 NFL Combine.

While it’s easy to joke about the content those scrums produce being less than groundbreaking, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst is miles more transparent than his predecessor, Ted Thompson (RIP) — a fact this fan greatly appreciates.

Perhaps his most notable comments came about the oft-injured cornerback, Jaire Alexander. As our own Jon Meerdink put it yesterday, Gutey was noncommittal. “We’ll see,” he said, adding that his lack of availability “has obviously frustrated our football team too.”

Gutekunst also emphasized the need for improvement on the defensive line, saying, “We need to affect the quarterback with four,” He added, “We had good moments last year but just need to be more consistent. … That’s gotta get better.”
