The Minnesota Vikings will host the Chicago Bears on Sunday, aiming to sweep the season series. After starting 0-2, the Bears have won 6 of their last 7. They’re currently in second place in the NFC North and have a realistic shot at taking the top spot with a win this week. The Detroit Lions are heading to Philadelphia to take on the defending champion Eagles.

The Bears and the Vikings both chose their next, hopefully, franchise QBs in the 2024 draft. The Bears with the #1 overall pick chose Caleb Williams over Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and J.J. McCarthy. The Vikings moved up a spot to ensure they could grab J.J. McCarthy at #10. If you had asked during the offseason who fans wanted as the Vikings’ QB, McCarthy would likely have been the resounding choice. However, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. McCarthy went through another multi-game injury and Williams has caught a little bit of momentum in his 2nd year. The comparison isn’t really fair considering McCarthy missed an entire season, but life isn’t fair and we all know the NFL damn sure isn’t fair. Quick and easy question, if you could have your choice of either, would you want the Vikings to stick with McCarthy or switch to Williams?

Caleb Williams

2025: 2,136 yards, 13 TDs, 4 INTs, 60.8% Completion, 92.2 Passer Rating, 246 Yards Rushing, 3 TDs, 4 Fumbles

J.J. McCarthy

2025: 692 yards, 5 TDs, 6 INTs, 53.7% Completion, 65.8 Passer Rating, 110 Rushing Yards, 2 TDs, 4 Fumbles
