The Eagles Stunk and Didn’t Deserve to Win, But this is Pass Interference
Crossing Broad Crossing Broad

Laughable no call at the start of the fourth quarter with the Eagles trailing the Bears 17-9:

Don’t overthink this. It doesn’t matter if Jalen Hurts underthrew it or not. There’s a play to be made on the ball and the Chicago linebacker isn’t looking at it. He doesn’t even begin turning his head until the ball hits his left arm. You watched it live. You saw him clatter right into Smitty. It’s a straightforward flag and it should have been thrown. Even the rules expert on the broadcast, Terry McAulay, questioned the decision not to throw the flag.

From the department of “more than one thing can be true” –

  • the Eagles were largely a joke on the afternoon and didn’t deserve to win
  • this was pass interference
