The New England Patriots earned their 10th-straight win in Week 13 against the New York Giants, and in what is quickly becoming a trend, cornerback Marcus Jones made one of the plays of the game with a 94-yard punt return touchdown. After his latest explosive score, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs had a simple request for Jones.

The 2025 campaign has seen Jones fully break out, as he has flourished as a return man and slot cornerback in Mike Vrabel’s new defensive scheme. This punt return touchdown was the third score of the season for Jones, as he also housed a punt against the Carolina Panthers and had a pick-six in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

While Jones has starred on defense, he’s also been doing the offense’s job all by himself on a couple of occasions by putting points on the board. After his latest score, Diggs hilariously revealed that the offense was asking Jones to stop scoring so that they could get on the field.

“On offense, we had a joke on the sidelines saying, ‘Damn, we want to play too, Marcus. Give us a little bit of love.’ It’s all fun out there.”

Another touchdown from Jones resulted in the second-straight quiet week for Diggs, as he caught just three passes for 26 yards in this one. As long as the team is winning, though, Diggs surely won’t mind, and there will be games in the future when he is called upon more frequently.

New England will now get to enjoy its bye week before turning its attention to an important clash with the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. If the Pats can beat the Bills for the second time this season, they will officially lock up the AFC East division, so while the team will spend this week resting and recovering, you can bet they already have their sights set on Buffalo.
