Saturday Night Open Thread: Our defense is dead Colt
Behind the Steel Curtain Behind the Steel Curtain

Live from Delaware, it’s Saturday Night! I, NAS204PSU, am here at BTSC to bring you this Saturday Night Open Thread (aka SNOT).

There isn’t enough Halloween candy around to eat my feelings after that Green Bay loss. I was so sure it was going to be a classic “Mike Tomlin team overperformance in prime time and beat a better team” game. I was half wrong (get it?). The Colts are next, gotta figure out how not to get trampled by their stable of racehorses: DJ, JT, TW, MPJ, etc.).

This 6 pack of questions is here to get the conversation going, so let us know what you’re eating/drinking!

1: The Steelers fell apart in the 2nd half vs the Packers, particularly the defense. Does the Kyle Dugger trade move the needle for this defense? If not, what would you have MT + TA do different?

2: Danny Dimes, Jonathan Taylor, and Tyler Warren (and more!) bring a hot offense to Acrisure this Sunday. Do you think we can slow either of them or will the Steelers D get trampled for 30+ again.

3: Should Herbig be playing more than Watt? Why/why not?

4: Quite a few NFL coaches (such as Mike McDaniel) are on the NFL hot seat. If any of them get fired, who would you want to hire as a Steeler coordinator?

a) Jonathan Gannon, Arizona Cardinals
b) Brian Daboll, New York Giants
c) Mike McDaniel, Miami Dolphins
d) Raheem Morris, Atlanta Falcons
e) Zac Taylor, Cincinnati Bengals
f) Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland Browns
g) Pete Carroll, Las Vegas Raiders

5. What’s your favorite candy to receive on Halloween?
Note: consider donating your excess candy to Treats for Troops, an annual campaign put on by Soldiers’ Angels (a-political and non-religious affiliation volunteer group). All 50 states and 31 countries across the globe participate. See the donation location map here.

6: Today is the Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Latin American Holiday that remembers and honors deceased loved ones on the first days of November. If there is someone who has passed that you’d like to share a favorite memory of, please do so.
