Mandatory minicamp is quickly approaching for the New Orleans Saints, as it begins on June 16. Despite that, long-time defender Cameron Jordan remains unsigned in free agency. On Monday, Chase Young opened up about wanting Jordan to return to New Orleans next season.

During the latest episode of “The Insiders” on the NFL Network, Young claimed he wants Jordan to play for the Saints once again. He also told insiders Ian Rapoport and Patrick Clayborn how much he appreciates Jordan as a teammate and wants that to continue.

“It’s a lot of rumors going around, but Cam, what he’s done for this organization the past 15 years is phenomenal,” said Young about Jordan. “The guy who leads the locker room, he’s a big brother to me. I’ve learned a lot from Cam. He’s a gold jacket guy, man… If it was me, I would love to get OG back in the building.”

The rumors Chase Young mentions regard Cameron Jordan and his future endeavors. There is some buzz that the 15-year veteran returns to the Saints. However, there is speculation he could opt to sign with another franchise, or even take on a broadcasting job with one of the networks. Either way, it sounds like Jordan has plenty of options on the table for what he wants to do with his career.

Cameron Jordan is one of the most consistent edge rushers in league history. He’s only missed two regular-season games in his entire career, making him an iron man of the NFL. The eight-time Pro Bowler ended last season with 32 combined tackles (15 solo), 10.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
