Bill Colarulo from 97.5 The Fanatic who wants you to MAKE THE SWITCH! reported on his show today that he’s heard from multiple sources that AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts went rogue on the 4th down call late in the game last night:
So does this mean Jalen and AJ like each other again? Because I’m willing to look the other way if that’s the case. Them being on better terms means more to me than them going rogue at the end of the game. It’s like two childhood friends getting into trouble with each other just for fun.
This is also a solid point:
Why were they out there in the first place? The decision should’ve always been punt and it’s on Nick Sirianni for even giving them a chance to go rogue. I gotta imagine there was a play-call designed that had a higher success rate for the first down than the ball Hurts threw. Internet sleuths are claiming Sirianni is on the sidelines saying, “Why?” after the play:
In that case I think Hurts and Brown went rogue on the play-call, but the play was always supposed to be ran. If they were supposed to take a Delay of Game and punt I gotta imagine Sirianni doesn’t keep his cool. Now that we’ve pieced it altogether this word salad after the game from Sirianni defending the play makes a lot more sense now:
That sounds like a guy making up his answer as he goes along. “We’re up three. We go up six they’re going to need a touchdown. Carry the one.”
And I wouldn’t be doing my journalistic integrity if I didn’t ask if Hurts and Brown went rogue a couple weeks back against the Vikings. The Eagles could’ve made the Vikings burn a timeout with a run and punted or tried to convert something less risky, but they went with the dagger instead. Was it a rogue dagger? Real Roman Empire type shit? Et tu, Jalen? I mean that’s a 40 yard throw off his back foot. Not exactly the easiest to complete, but of course no one questioned it after the game because it worked:
Has Nick Sirianni lost the locker room?! 610-632…
