One Browns NFL Draft target to watch in every P4 conference championship game

The 2026 NFL Draft will be loaded with talent at most of the position groups that the Browns will be targeting, and quite a few of Cleveland’s potential draft targets are playing in today’s college football conference championship games.

Here is one of the team’s potential draft targets in each of today’s P4 conference championship games:

WR Caleb Douglas – Texas Tech

2025 Stats: 87 targets, 53 recs., 823 rec. yards, 15.5 ypr avg., 7 TDs

Projected round: 5th-6th

The 6’3”, 205-pound wide receiver has had an excellent season in 2025, being the top pass-catcher in one of college football’s most productive passing offenses. Douglas’ ceiling is moderately high if he can stay healthy at the NFL level, and he might be one of Cleveland’s main targets on day 3 in terms of wide receiver.

He’s not a player who would develop into anything more than a WR3-type for the Browns, but he’d definitely help raise the floor of the wide receiver room.

OT Kadyn Proctor – Alabama

2025 Stats: 12 starts at LT, 5 rushes, 16 rushing yards, 3 first downs

Projected round: 1st

Proctor is an absolute mammoth at 6’7”, 365 lbs., and he can move like a player who weighs 50 pounds lighter. Though he had trouble as a run blocker (ironically) in 2024, it looks like he’s improved quite a bit in that area in 2025. He’s looked excellent overall this season for the Crimson Tide and still figures to be a top 3-4 offensive tackle in the 2026 class.

There’s even a chance that he could kick inside to offensive guard at the next level, so he could be a perfect fit for what the Browns need.

OT Brian Parker II – Duke

2025 Stats: 12 starts at RT

Projected round: 3rd-4th

Parker II was somewhat of an unknown commodity entering 2025, but he’s realistically been one of the better offensive tackles in college football over the past two years. He doesn’t necessarily have ideal size at 6’4.5”, 305 lbs., but he’s technically sound and is an elite pass blocker.

He could be another position-flexible player who intrigues Cleveland due to his amount of starting experience and consistent level of play on days 2 or 3 in April.

QB Fernando Mendoza – Indiana

2025 Stats: 2,758 passing yards, 72% comp., 32 TDs, 5 INTs, 2 fumbles, 243 rush. yards, 3.8 avg., 6 TDs

Projected round: 1st

The 6’5”, 225-pound signal-caller is undoubtedly a top two quarterback in the 2026 cycle, and his skillset should translate really well to the NFL level. He consistently shows the ability to put balls exactly where they need to be, anywhere on the field.

Mendoza’s also very good at maneuvering the pocket, and is a better athlete than he looks. He’s shown on multiple occasions in 2025 that he’s not afraid to take off and run, especially when defenses sit in man coverage for extended periods of time. There’s a very, very good chance that Mendoza...
