Let’s look at how things have changed since the season began
The New York Giants’ roster has gone through a number of changes since the season began. Let’s take a look at the current depth chart and practice squad.
Little change on the offensive side. The Giants still list Daniel Bellinger as TE1, though it is obvious rookie Theo Johnson has taken that job. The Giants still list Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt as co-starters. I split them for a dose of reality.
The linebacker depth is really the only defensive change.
Injuries have caused significant change to special teams. Greg Joseph has replaced the injured Graham Gano as placekicker. After Sunday’s poor attempt on a 48-yard field goal you wonder if the Giants will come to regret that choice. Ihmir Smith-Marsette (two returns for 19 yards) looked fine Sunday as the replacement for Gunner Olszewski as the punt returner. Could Smith-Marsette be an option if the Giants take Eric Gray off kickoff return?
