PITTSBURGH — For the second week in a row, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be missing Derrick Harmon. The rookie first-round draft pick is still dealing with the knee injury that kept him out of his team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

“Derrick Harmon can be characterized as ‘out’ again this week with his knee injury,” Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said during his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

Not having Harmon could hurt the team’s run defense as it locks horns with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Pittsburgh chose Harmon with the No. 21 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s played in nine games as a newcomer, including five starts. Harmon has 22 combined tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery and a pass defended.

Without Harmon, the Steelers allowed nearly 250 rushing yards against the Bills, the most the team has allowed at home in over 50 years. James Cook led Buffalo with 144 yards on 32 carries.

“It’s frustrating because we haven’t been consistent,” Steelers outside linebacker Alex Highsmith said afterward. “One game we’ll stop the run, and this happened tonight. Everyone’s gotta look at themselves in the mirror. … Tonight was unacceptable, and we’ve gotta flush it quick.”
