As long as Maxx Crosby is in his prime, he will go into every NFL season as a favorite to win the Defensive Player of the Year award.
That was the case in 2025 for Crosby, who turned 28 in August.
Crosby has turned in another solid start to the season. However, because of a lack of his sack numbers and the Raiders’ poor 2-7 start, Crosby is no longer considered a favorite to win the award.
According to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, Crosby’s odds to win the Defensive Player of the Year Award to 80-1. He was price around 15-1 to to start the season. There are currently 13 played with lower (better) odds than Crosby to win the award. Cleveland’s Myles Garrett is the fav0rite to win at +180.
One of these years it’s going to happen for Crosby.
