The Las Vegas Raiders have promoted linebacker Jamin Davis to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.
Davis replaced starting right guard Jackson Powers-Johnson, who was officially put on the injured reserve. He injured his ankle in Week 10 and he reportedly may miss the rest of the season.
Davis, 6-4, 234 pounds, was signed to the Raiders’ practice squad earlier this season. Davis played for the Washington Commanders from 2021-24 when he was cut during the season. He was signed to Green Bay’s practice squad shortly later. He was with Minnesota and and the Jets in 2024. The Jets cut him this August. Davis has played in 54 NFL games with 36 starts. He has eight career sacks.
The Kentucky product, who turns 27 next month, was a first-round draft choice of the Commanders in 2021, the 19th overall pick.
Also, the Raiders signed veteran kicker Greg Joseph to the practice squad. He could be insurance if Daniel Carlson continues to struggle. He has five missed kicks this season.
