PITTSBURGH — It’s hard to get on the moving train in a short week, but Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is giving young cornerback Cory Trice Jr. the chance to do just that and return from injury this week against the Cleveland Browns.
Trice has been out since suffering a hamstring injury while covering a punt against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 22. He was very near ready to play last week, but the Steelers chose not to reinstate him from the injured reserve after opening is 21-day practice window. Trice was a full participant in the team’s final two practices before their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
The team was off on Monday, but an estimated practice report listed Trice as a full participant once again, and he seems trending toward being able to play despite the short week of work.
