Field Gulls
Whew, those Week 10 prime time games sure stunk. The Denver Broncos won 10-7 over the Las Vegas Raiders to begin the prime time slate, the Philadelphia Eagles likewise prevailed 10-7 over the Green Bay Packers to cap off the week, while in between was a slog of a 25-10 victory for the Los Angeles Chargers against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Week 11 schedule begins with the 8-2 (yes, 8-2) New England Patriots against the 2-7 New York Jets. This is not a remotely interesting game on paper given Justin Fields regularly fails to hit 100 passing yards, while the Patriots have won seven straight and just picked up a big time win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Drake Maye has made that big second year leap under first-year head coach Mike Vrabel, hence New England has one of the more explosive passing attacks in the league.
I’ve got no reason to think the Jets can beat the Patriots in Foxborough. We did have a stunning upset of the Buffalo Bills by the Miami Dolphins im Miami last week, so that’s about as much reason I have for generating interest in this one.
Prime Video is the place to be at 5:15 pm PT, but Field Gulls is where you want to be to discuss this game!
