The Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4) will host the New York Jets (3-10) at 1:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, Dec. 14, at EverBank Stadium.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Jaguars are 11.5-point favorites and the total is set at 41.5 points.
Let me say that again.
The Jaguars are 11.5-point favorites.
As bad as the Jets might be, that’s a rare thing for the Jags. According to Covers.com, the last time Jacksonville was favored by 11.5+ points was Week 16 of the 2007 season. Two thousand and seven!
Liam Coen’s Jaguars are on an absolute roll right now, having won four straight games to take sole possession of first place in the AFC South.
“I think our guys took control of the moment,” he said after the Week 14 dub. “Our guys have responded in so many ways in these big games, right? You look at Kansas City, San Francisco, some of those moments where I think they ultimately always kind of feel disrespected, and that’s something that continues to feed our team.”
The betting markets are certainly giving Coen’s team their respect this week, but don’t tell them that.
