We’re 10 weeks into the season, which means there are plenty of NFL stats that can be used to evaluate matchups to help fantasy managers make decisions. As another week of football begins, we’re highlighting some starting running backs who draw some of the worst fantasy matchups in Week 11.
Let’s preview Fantasy Football Week 11, looking at some of the top running backs with the toughest matchups.
Breece Hall is coming off one of his best performances of the season but he immediately draws one of the toughest matchups for running backs this season. Entering Week 11, the New England Patriots are allowing the fewest rushing yards per game (79.2) and the fourth-lowest yards-per-carry average (3.8). To make matters worse, scoring opportunities are rare for running backs versus New England as it has allowed just 3 rushing touchdowns, the fewest allowed in the NFL by any team that has played 10 games. The Patriots can focus entirely on Hall, which could result in him being a fringe top-20 running back in fantasy points this week.

There’s been a bit of a change in the Los Angeles Rams’ approach at running back. Kyren Williams is still putting up the NFL stats of a back-end RB1, but he’s played just 62.6 percent of the offensive snaps in the last three games. That’s with Blake Corum averaging 12.7 carries per game in that three-game stretch. While Williams is still the 1A in this backfield, he is not an RB1 in Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks, who are allowing just 3.7 yards per carry this season and have allowed just 87.1 rush ypg in the last eight games.

In Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, Derrick Henry finished with just 57 scrimmage yards on 13 touches. He’s turned things around after a slow start to the season, but this matchup could set up for him being one of the biggest disappointments in Fantasy Football Week 11. On the year, Cleveland has allowed just 3.6 yards per carry and 97.9 rushing yards per game. Just as noticeable, nine opponents have combined for 3 rushing touchdowns this season. There’s a real chance Henry doesn’t finish Sunday top-10 in fantasy points among running backs.

With Zach Charbonnet taking a majority of the carries near the goal line, Kenneth Walker’s path to the end zone gets a lot more complicated. He last found the end zone in Week 3, when he delivered 2 rushing touchdowns versus the New Orleans Saints. If the absence of touchdown upside isn’t concerning enough for fantasy managers, Walker’s opponent (Los Angeles Rams) is allowing just 96.9...
