The Denver Broncos are sitting in good position in the AFC and that has fans excited for the remaining six games.

In this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, I asked Denver Broncos fans how they felt the team would perform over the next three games. Their opponents are all under .500 with the Las Vegas Raiders (2-8), Cleveland Browns (3-8), and Indianapolis Colts (5-6) all upcoming. Unsurprisingly, most of us felt they’ll run the tables on this line up, but 99% think they’ll win at least two of those three games.

With their Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Chargers flexed into Thursday night, these three games become pretty critical for them. The Chargers have a much more difficult schedule over that stretch with games against the Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So while they have a 1.5 game lead on the Broncos, we could theoretically see this Thursday Night Football game be a battle for second place in the AFC West provided the Chiefs continue winning. And, frankly, I like the Broncos schedule more than the Chargers leading up to this game. All Denver has to do is show they can play against this Chargers defense — something they struggled to do in their first meeting.

Regardless, I’ve never seen fan confidence so high in Denver. We began these surveys after the Super Bowl 50 run and the closest we came was the immediate reaction to the Russell Wilson trade, which we can all agree was ill-advised optimism.

In Bo Nix it would appear the Broncos have finally found their franchise quarterback for the long-term. He has only gotten better as the season progressed and while we’re bound to see more ups and downs typical of a rookie season, most of us have seen enough to realize this is what an elite-quarterback in the making is supposed to look like. Now wouldn’t it be nice to see this rookie on the road in the playoffs in a few months?
