Dan Quinn spoke to reporters for his weekly “Tell the Truth Monday”. The Washington Commanders lost their eighth-straight game, getting shut out by the Minnesota Vikings 31-0. Quinn said that was not acceptable in any way, shape, or form. This was a team failure from coaches to players to the front office, and things need to change over the final four games.

Quinn gave some injury updates, and said what everyone feared, TE Zach Ertz tore his ACL and is out for the season. Ertz meant a lot to the team on and off the field, and will now get surgery and rehab before he enters free agency next year.

Jayden Daniels returned yesterday after missing the last three games due to a left elbow dislocation. He left the game and didn’t return after getting shoved to the ground and landing on his injured arm while pursuing a defender who just picked off his tipped pass. Quinn said yesterday that he could have gone back in the game, but he was held out as a precaution. There is no long-term damage to the elbow, just soreness. Quinn wouldn’t give an update for his game status for next week.
