Buffalo Rumblings
The Buffalo Bills announced two practice squad elevations ahead of their Week 14 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, and both are on defense. The Bills elevated defensive end Morgan Fox and linebacker Baylon Spector from the practice squad.
Fox, 31, signed to Buffalo’s practice squad on November 12. This is his first of three practice-squad elevations this season. He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2024 season while with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played all 17 games last season, making three starts. He had 27 tackles, 3.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, and six quarterback hits. In the Chargers’ lone playoff game last season, Fox had two tackles.
Fox is a nine-year NFL veteran, having entered the league when he signed with the Los Angeles Rams after going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft. Fox has 27.5 sacks, 51 quarterback hits, 33 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 120 career games.
At 6’3” and 275 pounds, Fox is a big-bodied defensive end who will rotate in with Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, and Javon Solomon this weekend. Buffalo is down defensive end Joey Bosa, who is out with a hamstring injury. Additionally, defensive end Michael Hoecht and edge rusher Landon Jackson are on Injured Reserve thanks to an Achilles tear and a knee injury, respectively.
Spector, 27, is being elevated from the practice squad for the third time this season. He also played in Buffalo’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week and their loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10. Spector’s played primarily on special teams in his two appearances, playing 25 special teams snaps and three defensive snaps total. He has two tackles on the year.
With starting middle linebacker Terrel Bernard out, Spector fills out the linebacker group, as Shaq Thompson will start, with Matt Milano and Dorian Williams slotting in as the other two linebackers on defense. Williams will also play on special teams along with Spector and Joe Andreessen.
