Browns Week 10 rooting guide: Top of the NFL draft is up in the air

NFL draft positioning is the priority for the Browns in 2024

The Cleveland Browns sit at home in Week 10 of the 2024 NFL preparing for what is basically pointless games the rest of the season. The Browns are 2-7 and are tied with eight other teams for just two victories so far this season.

It is important to note that Strength of Schedule is the primary tiebreaker for the draft order. Simplified, the worse teams you played the better your draft spot will be.

As we’ve begun to look at NFL draft options, starting at quarterback, it is important to get a feel for where Cleveland might select. With the bye week, the Browns fans rooting is even more important to decide what games you will focus on:

NFL Week 10 1 PM Games

  • Panthers over Giants - Both teams are 2-7 but New York played Cleveland so you root for those teams to lose
  • Patriots over Bears - New England also has two victories, knocking off the top rookie QB from last year’s draft would be a confidence booster and help the Browns
  • Saints over Falcons - New Orleans sits at two wins but they just fired their coach so maybe they get a boost here in a divisional rivalry game
  • Jaguars over Vikings - While Jacksonville is on Cleveland’s schedule, getting the Jags to three wins is more important than the tiebreaker at this point

NFL Week 10 4 PM Games

  • Titans over Chargers - This would be a double positive for the Browns with Tennessee getting their third win and Los Angeles helping the SOS tiebreaker.
  • Cowboys over Eagles - With both teams on Cleveland’s schedule, rooting for Dallas to get their fourth win is the goal here
  • Jets over Cardinals - New York is unlikely to fully tank all season but getting to four wins this early could take them out of the race for a top-five selection

NFL Week 10 Monday Night Football

  • Dolphins over Rams - Another two-win team getting their third victory, and focusing on the playoffs instead of the NFL draft, would be helpful here
