Germain Ifedi gets the start at left tackle

No real surprises for either the Cleveland Browns or Pittsburgh Steelers as we are 90 minutes from the start of Thursday Night Football. Both teams have submitted their inactive reports which, with limited injuries on both rosters, are mostly healthy scratches.

We knew Wednesday that the Browns ruled out OT Jedrick Wills and TE Geoff Swaim for the game against the Steelers while Pittsburgh knew LB Alex Highsmith would miss a couple of games with his ankle injury.

With a lot on the line, playoff seeding for one team and potentially jobs for the other, here are the inactives for tonight’s game in Cleveland:

Browns Inactives

  • QB Bailey Zappe (3QB)
  • OT Jedrick Wills
  • TE Geoff Swaim
  • RB D’Onta Foreman
  • CB Chigozie Anusiem

With Wills out and Dawand Jones on injured reserve, Germain Ifedi is set to start for Cleveland.

Steelers Inactives

  • QB Kyle Allen (3QB)
  • LB Alex Highsmith
  • WR Scott Miller
  • RB Jonathan Ward
  • OL Max Scharping

Preston Smith, acquired at the trade deadline, and Nate Herbig will split reps in Highsmith’s place.
