The Denver Broncos will use one of their 45 formal interviews at the 2025 NFL Combine on Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II.

The Denver Broncos have their representatives present for the 2025 NFL Combine. Head Coach Sean Payton, General Manager George Paton, and a large contingent of scouts and personnel executives are doing their diligence and crafting their offseason plan to make the team better for next season.

One of the most important parts about the combine are the formal one-on-one interviews with draft eligible prospects. Even though over three hundred players are present in Indianapolis, each team is allotted just 45 formal interviews that last 18 minutes.

So far, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Ole Miss defensive lineman Walter Nolen, and Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant have been linked to the Broncos in this regard. Now you can add another name to this list. According to Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network, the Broncos are one of six teams scheduled to have formal meetings with Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II.

I highlighted Gordon as a name to watch for the Broncos early on in this year’s draft process in my Future Broncos segments. After putting up an FBS best 1,732 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns in 2023, Gordon was seventh in Heisman voting and was the Doak Walker Award recipient for college football’s best running back. Due to his success, many thought he could wind up being a first-round pick in this year’s draft.

Alas, his production dropped significantly in his last season with the Cowboys. For his 2024 campaign, Gordon had only 180 rushes for 880 yards but with 13 touchdowns. The depth and quality of this year’s running back class is astounding. With other players on the rise and performing better, the consensus appears to be that Gordon’s stock is now between the third and fourth round.

At 6’1 and 230 pounds, Gordon is one of the biggest backs in this year’s class and is known for his physical, downhill running ability. If the Broncos are looking for a prospect who makes his money in-between the tackles, I would expect him to be relatively high on their list. Though he is only the second back to be tabbed as someone with a formal interview, there is no doubt the Broncos are going to be utilizing this year’s draft to upgrade their running back stable.
