Mile High Report
The Denver Broncos are coming out of their bye flying high atop the AFC West having defeated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago. They’ll now be on the road in prime time against the 3-8 Washington Commanders. This is a game the Broncos should win, but they’ve tended to play down to opponents that they are expected to defeat. Will that trend continue here in Week 13?
According to FanDuel, the Broncos are 4.5-point road favorites against the Commanders in Week 13. The over/under stands at 43.5 for this matchup.

The Commanders will be without Jayden Daniels again this week as he recovers from a dislocated elbow. With Marcus Mariota at the helm, the Broncos defense should be able to pin their ears back and get after him in the pocket. If Denver’s defense continues to take care of business like it has all season, the the bar will be pretty low for Bo Nix and the Broncos offense to clear and get the big road win to move to 10-2 on the year.
In my view, this is still a must-win game. I think the Broncos must get to 11-2 in order to feel safe in the AFC West lead. Their final four games are against really good football teams and I wouldn’t expect them to win them all, but at 11-2, even splitting those final four they finish with a record that should be among the best in the AFC. So go out there and take care of business this week and next week.
