Bills adding big athlete, possible swing tackle in Chase Lundt
The Buffalo Bills took another dip on offense (just their second of eight selections) with the pick of UCONN offensive tackle Chase Lundt at No. 206 overall in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Lundt has huge size at 6’8” and 305 pounds, and moves light on his feet. He’s been a career right tackle only for Jim Mora and the Huskies. Lundt has real movement skill that will lend itself to NFL tackle play despite sub-33 inch arms.
Lundt is going to be 25 years old once the 2025 season starts and he’s missing some sand in the pants to allow him to compete against NFL power at the moment.
Overall, Lundt has started four straight seasons for the Huskies while showing off plus athleticism and technique to stay ahead of defenders in the run and pass game. One of the biggest factors in any kind of success for Lundt will need to be gaining lower body strength and improving his anchor. As of now, he generates little push from a power standpoint and works as a player who maximizes angles and and athleticism to win.
