They did a little better, but there is much still needed to be done.
The NFL never sleeps.
As front offices from all 32 teams converge on Indianapolis for the NFL Combine, the NFLPA has also released its annual team report card. The Cincinnati Bengals, who ranked No. 26 in 2024, have improved slightly to No. 24 this year—but there are still some glaring areas that need attention.
One of the biggest improvements came from their newly renovated locker room. In 2024, it received a D+ (24th in the league), but in 2025, it jumped to an A+, ranking as the third-best locker room in the NFL. Another significant upgrade came in “Team Travel,” where the Bengals improved from a C in 2024 to an A- this year.
They also maintained relatively high marks in key areas, including their training room (B+), training staff (A-), weight room (B), strength coaches (A-), and head coach (A). However, owner Mike Brown was once again ranked near the bottom, coming in at No. 25 with a C grade.
Now, for the bad news. The Bengals finished dead last in three key areas—the same categories they ranked last in prior to the 2024 season. They received a C (32nd) for their nutritionist/dietitian, while their food and dining facilities earned an F. Their treatment of player families was graded even worse—an F-, unchanged from last year.
“Another major concern is the lack of support for players’ families,” the NFLPA report stated. “The Bengals are one of only three teams without gameday daycare, one of 10 without a family room, and the only team in the league to provide neither. They also score very low on the quality of the postgame family area, and the number of family events the team organizes remains low.”
The Bengals have made major strides in recent years, particularly in upgrading their locker room with state-of-the-art amenities like helmet and pad dryers. Given their recent track record of improvements, it’s hard to imagine the front office ignoring these concerns for another year. More likely, they’ll continue addressing problem areas one step at a time.
Stay tuned to see how the Bengals respond.
