Week 14 was ugly for the New York Jets. The team was blown out by the Miami Dolphins. At this time of the year, you might view the chance for an improved pick in the NFL Draft as a silver lining to a loss. Unfortunately that did not happen for the Jets. The team entered the weekend holding the 7th overall pick. The Jets continue to be in the 7th slot after being dominated by the Dolphins.

  1. Giants 2-11
  2. Raiders 2-11
  3. Titans 2-11
  4. Browns 3-10
  5. Saints 3-10
  6. Commanders 3-10
  7. Jets 3-10
  8. Cardinals 3-10
  9. Falcons (pick traded to Rams) 4-9
  10. Bengals 4-9
  11. Vikings 5-8
  12. Dolphins 6-7
  13. Ravens 6-7
  14. Chiefs 6-7
  15. Cowboys 6-6-1
  16. Panthers 7-6
  17. Lions 8-5
  18. Colts (pick traded to Jets) 8-5

The biggest development for the Jets comes from the last team on the list. The Jets’ own the Colts’ first round pick from the Sauce Gardner trade. Indianapolis is now slumping. More significantly, starting quarterback Daniel Jones suffered a serious injury which reportedly will end his season. So the pick from Indianapolis seems likely to end up in the teens.

Picks 19 through 32 will be determined by the outcome of the NFL Playoffs.
